When PT Barnum suddenly loses his job from one day to the next, he has to get creative. While talking to his wife Charity and his daughters, he comes up with a saving idea: Barnum has always had the talent to entertain people. But since he can´t inspire an audience all on his own, he sets out to find extraordinary people with special skills and exotic looks. With great willpower and even more imagination, Barnum creates unprecedented, spectacular shows that are quickly on everyone´s lips, but not everyone in a conservative society likes them.
